This year’s annual fundraising walk and dinner will be on Saturday 12 September 2026 in Thirlmere in the Lake District.

There are plenty of options for the walk(s) and we will gather for the ever popular meal and social at Thirlmere Village Hall in the evening.

It’s a great opportunity to catch up with Val and friends old and new, and to support LED’s work in remote mountain communities of Nepal and Peru.

More details and the registration form will be circulated closer to the time, but in the meantime – Save the Date!

Big, big thanks to everyone who came to this year’s Fundraising Walk and/or Dinner – and to all the folks who couldn’t come and donated anyway.

If you would like to come to our Annual Fundraiser event this September 6th at Mungrisdale in the Lake District, please complete this online registration form.

There will be updates and more information as we move through the year but the plan is to meet at Mungrisdale Village Hall on the morning of Saturday 6th September and do a walk up, on, across, and around the Northern Fells in the Lake District (several options will be available). This will be followed by tea, coffee and cake on our return, and then an evening of food and relaxation and fun all in the name of raising money to make a difference to the rural and remote mountain communities in Nepal and Peru that many of us have visited, are visiting, or would love to visit. 

Some of you may remember that we have been to Mungrisdale Village Hall before – we loved it so much we’re going back!!!

In 2025, our annual fundraising walk will be taking place on Saturday 6 September 2025 in Mungrisdale in the Lake District.

After a Blencathra walk we’ll gather for the ever popular drinks and an evening meal at Mungrisdale Village Hall to round off what we hope will be an enjoyable and sociable day.

Full details of the walk, accommodation options and registration forms will be circulated nearer the time – but please now SAVE THE DATE!
